I managed a nett 64 off 3 once, I think I finished 3rd nett in my section. [Par 69 course]

I was 2 under gross after 7 in my K/Omatch yesterday (everything holed); then I realised and started playing more appropriate golf for my handicap...

still took 20 holes - opponent had 40 pts (with a blob) after 18 off his 23 h'cap.

Not sure a 4 handicapper can eve be called a bandit. A good golfer having a vey good day. My take is shoot the best score I can and try to get a cut to my handicap and the score takes care of itself. If someone shoots lower then cest la vie

Best round I had a my Club was a net 63 (par 69) in a board competition. Came second to a net 58.

of course they can - banditry and capability are not related at all. anyone can decide that they wish to deliberately manipulate their handicap; 4, 14 or 24.

personally I don't believe that any performance in a Q comp can be called, or implied, as banditry though

First three medals this year at our place (Par 69, SSS 70) were won with:
net 63 by a guy of 11
net 63 by me off 12 (and CSS went up to 72 that day - proper banditry)
net 64 by a guy off 5.

Then a couple of weeks ago there was a net 65 by a guy off 1.

The smiley was deliberate and intended to indicate sarcasm. I'm not really calling this fella a bandit. At all. It was just poking a little fun at low handicap whiners.
2nd place was an 18 cap also shooting net 63 having the round of his life, beaten by a 4 cap on count back! I bet he was gutted.
