Neil Lennon

Good move I think - so we have some good potential in management at the 'top' clubs - though did I mention that the SPFL Manager of the year was Tommy Wright (I expect most here don't even know the team he manages - but that life managing a 'diddy' team). Rock on Tommy.

Bolton was such a bad move for Lennon, and it was fairly obvious at the time. He made a right arse of things walking away from Celtic, thinking he would get an EPL job no bother. In the end, he got no decent offers and ended up taking on a basket case of a club. Bet he wishes he could turn back time.

I doubt it. He would have gained nothing by marking time at Celtic when they had no competition and was right to leave. Otherwise he'd just have ended up getting canned in much the same way Ronnie was. Unfortunately Bolton wasn't the best move but he had to take on another job while his stock was high.

He can definitely rebuild his reputation with hibs and should get them rooted next year.

Expand more on Bolton being a basket case........please. :D

Agree it was a good time for him to move on, but where he went wrong was leaving Celtic without having another job lined up.

bottom of the Championship when he joined, and massively in debt. he did well to keep them up in his first season, but the club was rotten from top to bottom. Did they not have a period when they couldn't even pay the players wages?

Yeah .......keep going - do their fanbase as well.:D

A few of the NW lads are fans.

haha ... can't comment about their fanbase as I have only ever met one bolton fan in my life. used to work beside him, he was a miserable bugger and a bit of an alkie. not sure if that is typical of them or not?

I hope Lennon has sacked his agent after Bolton. That or he was not the sharpest cookie and had not done his research. The club were massively in debt and so the wage bill had to be slashed. Anyone going in there was on a hiding to nothing. Smashing club, good stadium etc but financially goosed. Stay well clear should have been the advice.

His management career seems to be going backwards, each job progressivley smaller. Desperate for work I think. Don't rate him on anything done to date, lacked class at Celtic too, you wont see Brendan Rodgers brawling.

Tommy was pretty useless at my home town team, Ballymena United. He loved the old Wimbledon tactic of hoofing it into the corner at kick off and pressing from there. Awful to watch.

He can chat with Rodgers now, who used to play for Ballymena!

Great move for Hibs and a decent enough short term gap for Lennon who I think was desperate to get back into Scotland as his family never moved south with him I believe.

He had a bad experience at Bolton and an experience that Hibs will benefit from. He is a decent coach and I believe he'll have Hibs up next season.

They're normally one or the other........they all have handicaps of 12 as well, whether they should be off 8 or 18, funnily enough.;)
