HI there I recently have got back in to playing golf, And I am after a decent set of clubs with a budget off £400 tops, am getting loads of conflicting advice of golf shops, I am a intermediate player who goes arround 18 holes in 88-94 so any clubs you would recommended would be great.
I have had advice from couple of shops to go for the john letters t8 and the ben ross quad speed ??
Thanks in advance
Nigel

Welcome along to the Forum. So much choice re clubs, most on here would advocate being fitted, there are plenty of deals to be had so I would suggest trying as many as possible to find what suits you and not what has the biggest margin for the retailer. Have fun looking.

Second Hand (Ebay) is a great place to pick up excellent clubs at a very reasonable prices.

What clubs are you using currently?

Welcome btw.

Hit loads and go for whatever you feel comfortable and happy hitting - pick using your eyes and feel

Plenty of options. Do you need some help and a GI type (Ping G10, Callaway X20) Something arguably for a better striker (TM R11, Tour Preferred 08). Talk to someone who wants you to have the best for your game not what makes the easiest sale and biggest profit

get yourself some mizuno mp 52's. they are cheap enough, look great and plenty forgiving and you wont need to change them until you are on the tour!

they are built to last.

driver RBZ , titleist 910, ping g series, less than 100
mizuno mp52 irons 150
couple of rbz woods or hybrids 100
Cleveland 56 wedge 25
use current putter until you find something that takes you eye.

ebay is full of these clubs. bid right and save. those prices are just guides.

See what's available on here. Try them in a shop (if possible) and then come back here.
I have seen some real bargains floating around £100 ~ £200 for a good set of irons (TM, Mizuno, Wilson Staff etc.)

If you want new clubs, direct golf are selling the RocketBladez Tour Irons for £299 (4 iron to PW). That's a great price for some very good clubs.

However, if you're looking for a full set (I.e woods, irons, hybrids etc) ebay is your friend. As suggested, there's some great deals to be had.

When it comes to woods I'd try and get the RBZ driver, or a cleveland launcher / classic. All can be had for very good prices in nearly new condition.

The tm at 299 is canny 10% discount can be added too.
You should be able to pick up a set of ping irons like the g20 not too bad and plenty forgiving.
Is the 400 for the full bag or just irons?
