The last of our carpets are on the way out as we restore the original floors of the house. It's a shame as the carpet has been great as you can actually see a feint line after you've rolled a putt.

So I need a decent putting mat, preferably one with a hole and a decent length as currently practice anything from 20 to 3 feet.

Any recommendations

TIA

Can you not just take a cut of the old carpet?

That's a fantastic suggestion, acutally. You normally can even bring it to a carpet store and ask them to put a border around it, so that it won't disintegrate at the corners. But if you want a ready bought putting mat that shows you the line after you putt, I recommend this one:

I have this and really like it.

I have this and highly recommend it. I move it from carpet to a wooden floor often to vary the different speeds.

This is just what I was looking for - thank you!

Whatever you do, don't buy one of the Dunlop ones from sports direct. I thought I'd try it and it was folded is a few places so you couldn't get the creases out.

It was like putting across a loads of speed bumps

I have a welling puttmat and it is great... my putting was very good while I was practicing with it- and not so much recently now that i'm not- need to get back to.

the wife got me one of those cheap PGA 6ft ones they sell in Argos. works fine. We have wooden floors though out and it works pretty well.

TBH i don't use it very often and couldn't even tell you where it is at the moment. Only time i use it is if we have heavy snow and i havn't managed to play for a while.
