Need a little advice.

Afternoon all,

Ill try keep this short as i can.... The past few weeks iv been playing very well its no surprise as i have the ears of most on hear burnt with talking about it....Anyway it regards my handicap and also away scores.....

I cant seem to print the screen for some reason but ill try and get the figures up.....
The away scores for Venue 249 are short of 4 competitions i played there..... In which i registered for them all and submitted cards......

1. Monday 17th June........ 36 points

2. Monday 1st of July..... 38 points

3. Monday 27th July....... 36 points

4. Monday 12th August..... 36 points


Secondly the competition for the 19th of August which is monday just gone i had 38 points and checked that particular clubs results on Howdidido which has the Winner of the Competition with 38 points off a handicap of (4.8).....
But they seem to have my score down as 28 points even though the tables on golfnet below have me on 38 points.....

I cant make out the handicap reductions that iv got over the past few weeks either..... Something isnt adding up.....
Im wondering with the amount of buffer finishes iv been having maybe its thrown everything out of sync.....:mmm:

Any insight would be of great help.:thup:

no insights but a few obvious points (that muddy things more!)

1. how come the Golfnet page is listed as updated 10/8 but has an entry for 19/8?
2. how come the top line shows exact 10.5 playing 10?
3. following the 19/8 away score it shows ND -1 but EH 11 PH 11- logically following the 10/8 record this should be 10.5->10.3 PH 10

Duncan i totally agree Pal...... Im no Bandit..... Im working my way to get down not up.... But what is annoying me is i dont actually know what handicap im supposed to be off.....
Here in ireland when you register and sign in for any particular competition your handicap comes up on that clubs relevant computer screen.....
My own club last week had me off 10.5 exact which to me is 11.... But in the open singles i played on monday in an away club on the same computer software i was playing from a 10 handicap...... I changed this to 11 but im not sure now if i should have done this......
Im not even sure who i should be contacting.... My own club or the club that iv been playing the open singles competitions at.....

I would start with your club, and I would start with the question 'how can the software you use show me with REH x.5 sometimes rounded up, and sometimes rounded down??????

There are 4 entries on the page you have there with x.5 and different roundings!

Do buffer finishes get taken into account also..... or is that for end of season reviews

Is there a 'Finalised' or 'Accepted' state to Away scores? Probably managed by your Home Club.

It's tricky to follow, but your 'Home' scores definitely has Away results - so these haven't been Accepted (by your Club yet).

If there's also those 'Pending' scores that have been passed to Golfnet by the Away Club haven't been received by your Home club - onto your Away record, then some variations may exist - but that still doesn't explain the numbers!

Worth Emailing Golfnet to see whether they can explain it.

I have a feeling that once all the Away scores are loaded to your record it ill look fine!

That's what I'm thinking. Your home club has a little bit of homework to do and catch up on your away records. There is a couple of 0.1 back in there that haven't been applied. May be something wrong with event id recorded. Surely they should be away not home comps.
