Hi guys! I'm looking for a hybrid to add to my bag and was hoping for some recommendations.

I'm looking for one around 22 or 23 degrees to bridge the gap between my 5 wood (which goes lovely off the tee but I can't hit off the ground to save my life at the moment) and my longest iron which is a 5. I'm not exactly flush at the minute so I'll be looking only at ones I can get second hand for around 65 quid or less. I'm a 24 handicapper so ones that require immense technique to use might not be ideal! :D So a nice, forgiving club that's quite easy to hit would obviously be nice.

Any suggestions? The Nike Vapor Fly Hybrid seems to get decent reviews and be available pretty cheaply, but I'm open to any and all recommendations here.

Cheers.

I bought an Adams A7 a few years back for about £30 posted. Still in the bag. Old club but so easy to hit, you won't go far wrong with an Adams and you won't have to pay anything like 65 (could probably get a new one for that). Stick to the OS rather than Pro range and you'll be right.

Try the Cleveland Mashie hybrid. I have one at 18 degrees and it's like a bullet off the face.

Was only £45 new too, so I cant imagine a higher degree option will be much more.

I have the Taylormade RBZ stage 2 4 hybrid at 22 degrees. I bought a 22 M2 2016 hybrid to replace it and found the RBZ to be easier to hit with a better flight so sold the M2. Absolutely fabulous club and has been in my bag since I started playing over 2 years ago.

As mentioned, Adams are great. Known for their hybrids and that is the main reason why TM bought them. So you won't go wrong with one of them either.

I've been an Adams fan for about 15 years! While Adams is certainly 'known' for hybrids, it 's been widely suggested/believed that it was Adams's patents that were the major reason TM purchased Adams! TM's own hybrids have always been very good!

And while there is likely an Adams hybrid for every player's needs, it's likely that not every Adams hybrid will suit every player! So worth matching the type of club to the desired purpose!

The RBZ (and later) 4 Hybrid is a great all purpose one though! I know several players for which that is their 'go to' club in many situations, including off the tee and as a 'chipper'! The Adams 23* I use is slightly slimmer than RBZs, so perhaps even more versatile, if slightly less forgiving. I have a Pro DHy (currently with a broken shaft) that is not as forgiving nor versatile, though it is (was) fine off the tee or for low shots from the fairway.

Edit: Having started my post before you posted re the Adams Blue.... Excellent all-round and forgiving club - even more so than the XTD Tis! I'm sure you'll be delighted with it!

which is why i recommended the blue for a 24 handicapper wanting forgiving. Why buy a "cover all bases" when he can buy one that suits him?

I've literally just ordered the one you posted. :D Should be available to pick up on Monday. (Hopefully early as I have that day off work and I'm playing at 11!) Cheers again, it looks like just the job so fingers crossed.
