Currently on holiday enjoying the golfing delights of East Lothian - and just gotta post about yesterday. Played Gullane No.2 in the morning and managed an 87 - but with a 10 on the card!! 17 holes in 77 shots!!! Ok, so I know golf is 18 holes, but did the back nine in just 2 over gross for 26 points. :):):)(See my sig for my normal performance level)

I can do it, I can do it! Just got to do it in a damn qualifier now...

What hole was the blow up?

I know how you feel - you can definitely do it, and it might take a while to actually shoot that sub 80 round, but for sure, you now know that it's in there somewhere. Great feeling!

I shot 83 in a stableford competition a month or so ago, which included two 8's. I'm glad those blobs were in there though in some ways, as although I'm not a bandit (I've worked hard on my game and have got some good results) 51 points would have been hard to defend in the clubhouse.....

4th - si1. Hooked the drive into the long stuff, then very nearly did rhen same with the s and d shot. Wasn't in the bad stuff but just kept failing to get it back on the fairway.

Not taking anything away from you but a hole like that early in the round sometimes helps to relax, so learn from it and stay relaxed all the way...........................if you can ;)

Feeling your joy (and pain). Great shooting for 17 holes. Forget the other hole. I was out myself in +3 gross last night then lost the plot and ruined a chance of my own PB. Still got it round under handicap though.

You know you can do it now and so you need to play your home course with renewed confidence and smash the old PB. The score's clearly in there
