Nearly famous playing partners...

Making final preparations for our 3rd annual Primary School PTA charity golf day on Friday with our regular playing Governors T Woods and P Mickelson. Got a trophy organised this year, which will have the winners' names inscribed on it - starting with inaugural winner T Woods in 2008. Looks impressive. The other Woods and Mickelson will be in Wales, while Tim and Peter lead off in Essex. I wondered if anyone else had nearly famous namesakes in their comps...

Won through to a national final of a golf competition and found myself drawn alongside Peter Thomson. Peter Thomson, the aussie 5 times Open winner was an ambasador for then company and product at that time.

I was drawn alongside Peter Thomson, the pro at Erskine golf club in the Wewst of Scotland. Ah well......

I played in a team game for Strathy and played against a Chris Moss who's son was also Chris and in the team so the lads called him "Father" Chris Moss
