Anyone played in one of their events before? I saw that they were hosting one at Royal Cromer and, since its a course I have always fancied playing, I was tempted to sign up - just wondering if the events are well managed and whether they might be too competitive for me?

Looks like a good roster of courses. If you fancy it, go ahead and don't worry about the competitiveness.

The Global Amateur Golf Tour, formerly the Nike Amateur and other names before that, is another big UK-based amateur golf tour. I have played a few events a few years back and they are well organised. It is rather cliquey, though, and a large number of people seem to do nothing but play on it, dozens of games a year including several overseas trips. The NCG is likely a bit the same way. These tours encourage repeat business and like to secure a bunch of bookings from the usual suspects early.
