National Matchplay comps

Anyone entering any this year?

Having just realised Ive missed the deadline to enter the Southern Matchplay expect I shall have another crack at the Nike Matchplay (used to be the Volvo). Anyone else planning on or already entered any?

(PS please dont turn this into a long thread about the handicap protectors that can be found in these comps )

I've entered the Nike (volo) and the Hdid one for the past 3/4 years. Not got round to entering this year yet.

Not sure if I will as I might take a year out, want to concentrate on my H/C this year.

But you never know, Might jsut do it at the last minute

Entered the HDID (Morocco) Matchplay for the 3rd time since started playing, the Trilby Matchplay Singles for the 2nd time and the Nike one for the 1st time.

Possibly mate - no idea if Beds and Bucks get separated - know there is normally loads of groups from Woburn

Usually get some Woburn entrants in the quadrant i enter

Then we could possibly be drawn against each other - pistols ( or handbags ) at dawn

Haven't entered any this year after the HDID one left a sour taste last year...........love the Matchplay element, but then can't stand the regional stableford final format to decide who gets to play the Matchplay finals abroad......haven't bothered with the Trilby Tour either for the first time......going to enter some Mid Am scratch comps instead.

I've entered the Nike singles comp for the 1st time this year, hopefully get a decent away draw at Hillside or Formby!

3 mainly.....Ashridge, Berkhamstead and the Herts Golf Union Championships.....36 hole at Brickendon Grange.

Didnt realise they had gone over 35s for the Berkhamstead Quaitch too, may try and play that one too. Also considering the ones at Wellingborough and Letchworth but still a bit wary of entering a 36 hole in a day comp currently

I have entered the Nike again, might enter the HDID one too but haven't done as yet.
