N O GOLF TODAY

Impressive stuff from Vijay, to do those pull ups with the size/weight of him takes some strength.

He's Certainly a fit bloke for his age.

he's a hard working guy that for sure ,the pull up are hard but i started light and worked my way up,starting to feel the benefits ,especially now my backs 100%.

watching that has made me feel a bit guilty.I've always tried to keep fit, gym, running etc. but since getting married ive done nothing for about 3 years.

Think I need to give myself a kick up the backside!

Haven't been to the gym in 7 years but watching this (and the fact that I've lost 5kg lately) is making me think I should. Vijay is just a little older than me, so if he can.....

Quitting the ciggies this month anyway so I'll need something to take the mind off it. Might get an instructor to show me some golf related exercise like these.

Cheers for the link, Steve.

Flip sake, thats so impressive I even had to put my custard creams down to watch it!

Not sure that's a full pull up, I think his feet are on a raising platform as he does those.
Not convinced by those one arm pulls either, he's just lunging into those using his weight, not focussing on the individual shoulder muscles.

Impressive though, wish I was motivated like that!

Yip. Age finds us all out. I'll be 45 this year and beginning to feel it. 2 rounds in a day kill me.

Even in my late thirties I could run half marathons and was going to the gym every week. But the knees feel it after along run nowadays. Eek. Cycling's easier on them at least.

Flexibility? Used to be able to do full front and side splits into my thirties (a side effect of years of TaeKwonDo training in my youth). Now I can hardly touch my toes! This must change.

I do love my stretching, though. Very relaxing. Bought Bob Anderson's book on it again recently. Highly recommended.

Think I'll rejoin the Edinburgh Uni sports centre and get fit again. £20 a month. Can't harm the golf, eh?

Difficult to do circuits with a ball and chain!

I've just hit 55 and one round sometimes kills me now... :( :( :(
Knees and ankles, ankles especially.
Played Blackmoor last Wednesday and was completely fecked coming up the 18th.
And when I stop for a coffee afterwards, I look like Douglas Bader walking to the car. My achilles
