Mystery shopper in AG

Got contacted today about mystery shopping one of the AG stores. Can't wait!

I was hoping they'd give me the budget to get a new club but alas, no. Enough for some new balls though!

The only thing that store has going for it is that its well stocked. The staff are useless.

Even that isn't always garunteed in AG stores, fortunately for me my closest one is well stocked but unfortunately for me I have no golf stores close by at all.

Isn't the idea behind a mystery shopper that they don't know they've been visited even after you've left the shop?

I signed up with a company a while back. I get to go to restaurants, hotels, shops etc. End up with a whole bunch of free stuff!

I've been signed up for ages, but have only done AG golf ones. I've not had a call for a while now tho'

The only thing that store has going for it is that its well stocked. The staff are useless.

I can't stand them in there, always looking to flog you something you don't need or isn't right for you. One guy told me that the only ball I should ever use (this was when i was off 24) is a Pro V1. The new manager tried selling my mate a £230 Scotty after he had told him that his budget was £100 and then tried selling him a pair of the new Adidas ATV Tour 360 (or whatever they're called, the £119 shoes) after he had told him his budget was £70.

They're all a bunch of morons in there who couldn't give two hoots about selling the correct equipment, just the most expensive. I much prefer the Colchester store or Nevada Bobs in Copford but they don't have proper fitting facilities in there.

I agree with you about Colchester being the better store especially with having the driving range there as well.

Unfortunately the Braintree store have kind of tarnished my image of AG full stop so don't trust any AG stores now to give me proper advice and definitely don't trust them to fit me for sticks.
