My season so far

After joining a new club on 1st June this year I thought I would give a wee update on my season so far.

In the last 7 medal rounds I have shot

105(today),94,97,103,101,nr,nr

I was given 16 when I joined?????? Now off 17 but still nowhere near that yet. The par is 69.

I am slicing the ball a lot which is killing my as the course seems to have a lot of bother to the right(it might just be me )

My putting has been ok. 28 putts is my best round with 37 being my worst. Ive only had 1 birdie so far.

I was poor today it was quite windy as usual today but am back out again tomorrow. There must be somthing that brings us back again. I had my worst ever round today and I cant wait to get back out.

Looking forward to playing to my handicap, whenever that may me.

That is the exact reason we all play this crazy game, because no matter how bad a round we have had we just can not wait to get out again for another dose of angst.
Keep your chin up(not literaly) and keep plugging away and the good scores are sure to follow.

farneyman: from what you say, either you're having a rough time on the scoring, or you were given a killer handicap. Either way, chin up & keep at it. Perhaps I'm being optimistic, but I guess the handicappers have method based on your performance in allocating the h/c - so you're capable of it. I've just been given 20, which I haven't a hope in hell of performing to immediately - but I will. As will you.

I would like to think I will be able to play to 18 before I get there, now 16.6 so I have another few rounds before I get to that. I was given 16 due to a 5 over par back 9 0on my final handicap card. That included a triple on the last!!

Havent played any golf from sep until june this year due to a new arrival in April so am just glad to get out and having something to play for.

Its getting the contact correct each time I struggle with.
