Looking to get some new sticks as my 10 year old mizzy ct's have seen better days, will I find much help with the newer 800 pros, also considered ping i15, tm burner 2.0, and r11's.
Playing off a 13 handicap but should easily be a couple lower but my putting is dreadful, my iron striking is pretty good.

I've just switched from MP62 and the JPX825 pro are so much more forgiving, plus at least a club and a half longer. They are not that chunky and compaired them to all the current MP sets and there was not much difference.

Def worth a shot, feel just as soft as my 62's as well.

Thanks, I can't afford the 825's not sure how much of an improvement they are over the 800's, is there likely to be a fair bit more help with the newer irons compared to my old comp ct's ?

I tried the jxp pros at the range last week purely for the shaft. X100 and i was astonished at the distance i was hitting the 7i. Im 165 with my 7 consistent. And i was hitting the jpx 5-10 yards further.

I checked their spec when i got home and the 7 iron is 2 degree stronger than mine at 33 degrees. So that will explain where the extra distance came from.

So its worth trying a few sets and seeing what suits your game best mate.

On a side note they did feel very forgiving and thumbs up from me

Good to know they felt good, I'll try to get to somewhere I can have a swing with a few different irons.

Notwithstanding the temptation of new shineys - and the JX8nn series is pretty nice - your post actully implies that what you need is some assistance with putting. A putting lesson is more likely to be beneficial here rather than a new putter, though the right style/length of putter will actually help.
