Well, they finally arrived yesterday. Apparently Titleist had run out of ZB heads, which sounds rubbish until I realise that I am in manufacturing and we frequently sell stuff we haven't got in stock.

So, this being England, I drive to the golf club tonight to either play a few holes, or use the practice ground. As I pull into the car park the heavens open and it pours down. Typical.

So I go to the local driving range. £5.50 for 90 balls. After about 10 balls I am wondering why I have bought these irons. Cows arse and banjo springs to mind. Hmm. And I have a new 585 hybrid too, and that is rubbish too. Hmm. The irons are at least a club length shorter, with no discernable sweet spot, and the hybrid is terrible. Hmm. 90 balls later, still no result.

Anyway, the sun comes out, so I think I can get about 5 holes in if I can get back to the golf club. 15 minutes later I am on the first tee. Whamo, 4 iron down the middle, 5 iron into the green. Wow, these feel great. 2nd hole, 4 iron off the tee, 4 iron short of the green, wow, awesome. And so it continued. If you take a reasonable divot, these are fantastic clubs, and won't be coming out of my bag any time soon. A marked improvement in feel and distance on my previous blades (although the length of the head is still a bit intimidating).

I love these irons. They are fantastic.

If only the weatherfore cast for the next 7 days wasn't terrible.

Oh, and the jury is still out on the hybrid. I hit this jjust fine in the c/f session. Can't hit this on the range, or on the course. May yet revert to my TM rescue.

Having played this weekend, I can say now these are the best irons I have ever hit. Absolutely superb.

The hybrid is getting better, but not there yet.

Unfortunately, I am now going through a putting slump, and my driving is all over the place.

Nice to be hitting a 4 iron again though.

Somehow you never get it all at once.

Glad they going well for you mate. Looking forward to seeing them the next time you whip my ass at golf. If your hitting the 4 iron well with them. happy days with your golf swing, im sure the driver and putter will start behaving again soon and you will put some great rounds together.
