Some of you already know that today I was going to look at the course around the corner from me. I had played it before and was impressed with the members as they were very friendly. The course isnt the best I have played but it is a good track.

Club house has just been refurbed and looks great. It has great facilities in the changing room, bar, restraunt, snooker table, practice greens etc. Clubhouse bar is open till 11:00 I beleive and it only cost a 5er to get the Mrs a social membership too.

Played today and went out in 39, 5 over for the front. I thought this is defo the club for me :(

Still I put pen to paper and I now have 2 homes(for now)

If anyone fancies a game here, your more than welcome.

Upton by Chester Golf Club

Looks drier than your previous track :D
Even Andy wouldn't be too intimidated by the wet stuff ;)

Have to sort summat out for a knock.

And BOB, it's not that far away. I've covered a fair bit of mileage these last 6 months playing at other tracks

Homer the Clubhouse is really nice. I imagine in the summer it will be really good to sit out for a few jars and look over the 18th.

Dave there is only 2 ponds I think, and both of them you tee over, shouldn't come into play, although knowing Andy :D

Pro is a nice guy and has a well stocked pro shop. Pretty sure the tee times are roll up as well so that suits me down to a Tee, pardon the pun.

Andi, the price is excellent, I only had to pay £300 till end of june, that includes £50 shares and £5 social membership for the Mrs. Come July the fee for the whole year is only £550. Proper bargain!

Vig. It would be a long day to drive there, coffee and a bacon bap, 18 holes, lunch, another 18, a few beers, curry another 6 beers and then drive home.
Maybe I could borrow Junior captains' trolley hic

Bob we are about equidistant. It's not that bad and as for the jars and the drive back. Shame on you
Just stop over and have an 18 hole livener the following day :D

I would be delighted to take you up on the offer of a game sometime. My sister and her husband now live in Chester and I really need to go and visit, this could be a deciding factor if I could swing by for a nice 18 holes while in the area.

Looks a nice place to spend an afternoon.

Tony it looks like you've got yourself a good deal there, the course looks good aswell. The society i'm in are playing there next month looking forward to it.

Looks good Tony,
Hate to know how much the green fees are at an "expensive" course down your way though, £550 PA is the most expensive one in the area up here in woolyback land!!! ;)

Evita, sooner rather than later yeah!

HTL, get together with a couple of others and share the journey, No excuses! :D

Bobmac, same for you, Share the Journey and grab ya self a cheap B&B if you need to. Hundreds in Chester

Craw. Anytime you want pal, you just give me the notice. As always Mon, Tues, Wed am good. Although I think Ladies day is Tuesday, not sure how it works there yet so when I find my feet, al let ya know.

Stuart, Have fun, Hope it drys out a bit for you. You aint far away so if you like it, your always welcome back.

Tony you must be loaded!!!!

By the way before our game at my place on the 13th I thought id better tell you im a HUGE Liverpool fan.Read your post in the out of bounds where Homer slapped your wrist for swearing, Naughty Boy!!!

So I think its best if we have a football free round to keep it friendly.

By the way I was watching Lord Of The Rings last night,Does Ferguson know Rooney And Tevez were at the battle of helms keep with the rest of there orc friends when they were supposed to be training
