Well, its finally happened. After almost 30yrs of membership I've moved home, albeit I've retained social membership at my old club because its not a million miles away.

http://wynyardgolfclub.co.uk/

A nicer clubhouse, with a welcoming feel. HID absolutely loves the place - not sure that makes it better or worse. Better food and drink. A more relaxed dress code, AND mobiles are permitted in the clubhouse and out on the course, providing your fourball agree.

A very nice, varied and demanding parkland course - very impressed with every hole on the course.

The downside; a parkland course is never going to be as dry as the links course I've left at this time of year.

Unfortunately work is getting in the way of playing... I've got two games planned for Feb...

I've only played it the once and liked it, preferred the front 9 to the back 9 but a good all round course with plenty of different holes.

How's it been holding up with all this rain?

Good luck with it Hobbit, if you felt you needed to do it after that long in one place I'm sure it's the right move for you (and HiD by the sound of things).

Impressive looking club and cant believe those fees ! Lucky bugger

Enjoy
