So, my first round in the pouring rain today. As if this game isn't hard enough for a relative beginner, the rain made it worse!

So do you chaps use dedicated rain gloves? Do they really help? My clubs were slipping out my hands quite a lot :(

The FJ rain grip ones do help with the grip in the rain

A pair of rain gloves will make a massive difference to your grip in the wet. A single works ok if you can give the grips a good wipe to allow the non gloved hand some grip but with a pair you'll never worry about whether the club will slip or not. I use FJ but a lot swear by macwets.

I've got one macwet, but in the past I always used to keep some of my older worn gloves in the bag.

It helps if you can swap gloves every 3-4 holes.

I've got Macwets and they are very good, work much better as a pair rather than just a single glove.

A much cheaper alternative is a pair of marigolds or ordinary latex gloves as worn by mechanics etc, they are very effective

When I bought some mac wets for some reason they were cheaper in the equestrian section on the popular auction site - same gloves
