I've just returned from a 30 minute session hitting the Mizuno MP33 6 iron (with DG S300 shaft) that region3 sent me.
It's wonderful! I hit around 30 shots with it and the majority of them were good hits. The feeling of a solid well struck shot is great. It actually feels more positive than with my own clubs. One thing i noticed was the different ball flight. A fair bit lower and much more penetrating. Just what i'm after.
There were maybe about 3 or 4 shots where i came across the ball much like i sometimes do with my own irons - and it was there that i saw how punishing to a miss-hit they can be. Maybe 20 yards wider than a similar poorly executed blow with my mx900s. Just as long though.
On the whole though, i loved the feeling of the club. It's the first proper blade that i've used and i'm definitely going to persevere with it, even if it's just on the range or on the practice ground for a few weeks.
Next up, i need to get hold of a similar set up cavity back and see what the difference is.
