My first ever Club Champs...

Trying to cram that much Medal-play into one day sounds like a recipe for disaster...

At my old club the Championships were run over 2 days - the rounds would takethe best part of hours as everyone had to putt out - it just wouldn't have worked on one day.

Unless you have a limited field, trying to get most of the club round twice in a day is simply madness....

Put it down to experience Mate, don't beat yourself up over it.
Rhythm is hard to find when you're waiting on each shot.

Seniors , scratch and nett club champs all in one day. Sounds like a recipe for disaster from the start. I would assume that the most prestigous (sp) comp in any club is the scratch club champs. This should take precedence over everything else and have the run of the course for the day/2 days its held. Anyone wanting to play after this comp has tee'd off then a nice hour gap should be in force if its a one round per day affair.

The field should be left to maybe 10-12 max h/c and let the good players get on with it without having the lesser skilled players blocking up the course. If you want a nett club champs then do it on a different weekend / day whatever.

I would have gone home too Tiger, 6 hours would not have suited my personality i'm afraid. Stick to one round comps for a while mate.
