More problems with our 6yr old Shi Tzu , she has blood shot eyes , vet checked and said no ulcers or scratches, thinks she has dry eyes and maybe an allergy to something. She prescribed a small tube of ointment costing £45 and for me to buy Hypromellose eye drops from the chemist , total including consultation £80.
Anyone been in the same situation., any other treatment etc.
BTW. not to dry my eyes.
thanks in advance.

My big Lab recently ate something very unpleasant on Turnberry beach.
It must have been a lot worse than his normal dead seagulls and rotting seal corpses.
He then came home and proceeded to eat half a shrubbery to make himself sick.

That's a proper dog.

He once found a dead pheasant in the River Stinchar. I tried to get it off him and he just moved further into the river.
He looked at me with that 'I should not really be doing this' look that labradors have perfected and then started eating the carcase.
He had the body in his mouth and the pair of wings started to move like the dead bird was flying.

Blame pet insurance for the ridiculous prices vets charge these days.
Have a look online and check some of the prices for commonly prescribed pet antibiotics (Synulox etc), and wormers (Milbemax, Drontal etc).
Don't even get me started on the subject of neutering, castration, and yearly booster vaccinations.

If you want low-maintenance dogs, don't go down the counter-evolutionary highly-bred path.

Are you sure it's the dog that's the hypochondriac though?
