I would have put a tenner on Westwood rather than a fiver on Dougherty.

I've stopped betting on golf after putting money on Rose at the Masters and watching him collapse I think I'm a jink!

(So anybody you don't want to win let me know I'll put 50p on them!)

I thought long and hard about this one and narrowed it down from five possible bets. The likely form players in my mind were;-

Karlsson
Westood
Jiminez
Simon Khan
Damian McGrane

to make it into the top ten...but the odds were terrible for the first three and uncertain for the last two.

So what did I do? Plumped all my money on Andres Romero to win at 50-1. Someone has to win and the Europeans don't have a good record over the last 10 years generally.

Fingers well and truly crossed! If he's anywhere near the leaderboard on Saturday night I won't be sleeping! :D

I reckon Lee Westeood aint going to be challenging on the last day, his putting looked awful last week.

Jimnez? Who knows, he is one of the most relaxed people I have ever seen but I dont know if he has that top 2%

Ross Fisher might be worth a few quid.

Sergio has rubbish odds, wish I put mony on him a while ago.

50-1 for Romero is good, he is a quality little player with great feel aroud the greens.

Im off down the bookies later for a fluter and will report back who my money is on.

Paddypower top 7 at 1/4 the odds which is very good.
I just don't really fancy anyone with a huge amount of confidence, yes I always back Sergio but short odds this time and do like the look of Romero having watched a bit of him this season both on T.V. and live so may punt on him but the guy not alot of folk are taking a punt on seems to be Plastic Phil who may just get all my coin e/w at 18's!Only his lack of Open form and the expected wind put me off! :(

I now John, was going to join Paddy Power and use them as their odds were much better and paid on the top 7 on EW but I was in a rush and just used my online Coral account. Coral really aint great for good odds, going to defo plan in advance for my next flutter.

You willing to say how much you put on Romero and if you went either way? I put £2.50 EW on each of mine.

Erm, it's a pure win bet on Romero, htl. (£200...sounds less when you say it really fast. I'm trying to say it really fast)

Not my biggest ever bet (four figures on Tiger at 7-2 at St Andrews in 2005!) but it'd be my biggest ever win if it comes in. Decided not to play safe for once! This bet is my equivalent of a driver off the 10th tee at the Belfry going for eagle as opposed to a 7 iron for safety and a par!

Connor.
Garcia is the one most likely to fill your pocket. I'd love Westwood to do it or any of the British or Irish golfers.

Well, unless Romero shoots a 65 today and everyone else slips back to +9 I'm not going to see a bean from my bet.

Fortunately I had the sense to slip a little bet onto Norman before round 3 at 25-1 in the hope of covering myself. The best you can get on him now is 4-1. Have a horrible feeling that either Harrington or Choi will come out triumphant at the end of the day but you never know.

Anyone else still got anyone in with a chance?

My gut feeling is that Greg Norman will win, Harrington has won before, yes however, I think Greg Norman is on his game this week and has long since forgotten about worrying about the majors. Harrington is a decent golfer and bloke but I think hes found a little too much trouble this week where Norman has been pretty good at navigating the major hazards.
