My Annual Sub-80 round

We'll today was the day this year.

Shot a 79 in the monthly medal So I nice little cut coming my way too.

In all honesty I didn't actually play that well. Didn't drive the ball particularly great, hit a couple of shockers that I got away with.

Didn't putt the ball that well either (33 putts), but no 3 putts.

Irons and wedges were again, just ok. Didn't hit any stunning shots and got away with any bad ones I hit.

I'm sitting here now, completely underwhelmed, thinking how the hell did I shoot 79 when I honestly can't think of one really good shot I hit all round

Yeah, I know what you mean. Most of my other low rounds I've usually hit some great drives, sunk some long putts or hit irons close. Just not this time.

Which made it just feel a bit. Meh.

To me that's a great sign. If you can shoot 79 not playing well then imagine how low you'll go soon when it all clicks
