If you could meet your younger self, say when you were in your early 20’s, what advice would you give to the younger you?

And for an added question, what might the younger you tell/remind your older self about what you had planned to do back then?

I expect there would be plenty back & forth about don’t smoke, don’t get fat/drink too much, remember to bet on xyz sports result or make sure you take up golf early etc etc... but what are the real nuggets of knowledge, wisdom or guidance that might be exchanged?

Don't think that the market was about to crash and sell the rental houses that you bought.. Carry on buying them instead. At the rate I was going I'd most likely have had 40-50 by now 😢😢😢

Make time for family. If you leave finding time for when you've got the career you wanted, they've filled their time with something else.

So what if the girl says "no"
If you are too scared to ask, she will never have the chance to say "yes"

Don't be afraid of rejection

Jeepers Phil, was getting a bit worried after reading the first line!!! good recovery though haha.

I suppose I should have went travelling more as a young free and single man. Parts of the world my missus just isnt interested in that I wouldnt mind seeing.

Forget all this cricket, football and rugby malarkey take up golf but have lessons first and invest in some decent kit. Don't be such a slapper, take your epipen with you with you're out and about and make some better career decisions.

You'll probably be working for a lot of years, so follow your dreams, and make sure you end up doing something for a job that you love.

Don't be afraid to take a risk, it's better to try and fail than to be left wondering 'what if?'

Get on the property ladder as soon as you can.

All would have been on peppercorn rents I assume. Surely making a profit would not be cricket for a Northern Socialist ;)

Probably give myself a good talking to about women and putting up with them when they're clearly not up to the task.

Then I'd talk about business.

oh yeh.... if you ever take up golf then read the stack & tilt book first.

Good question slab, I think I would have to say when u sell your first house, buy the one the wife says it made 60k more than the one you bought numpty!
Travel, lots, before you have a family.
Love what you have enjoy it, never settle for less than what your worth, sometimes working hard for nothing gets no thanks, life is too short so make the very most of it.
Buy some good wine and don't drink them, I should then find them in my wine rack :)
Flip side.... I'm only 37 I don't have a flip side yet :)
