I havnt been biding my time but today is the day that I should become a proud grandfather for the second time. My sons other half is booked in to have little Harry some time today and I am on tenterhooks waiting. Harry's sister just turned one year old last week and, since she came along I have turned into a right soppy sod! I spend more time on the floor playing than I ever thought possible and when laughter turns to tears I can just hand her back - love it!
 
Congratulations, I hope it all goes smoothly. I'm still a long way away from being a grandfather, but my dad has 8 grandchildren from 2 - 16 and they help keep him young at 76.

Hopefully one day you will experience the joy of being a grandfather, it's almost better than being a dad as your more experienced and don't have to discipline etc

Congrats Chris, I certainly echo your above sentiments.

It gives you a new lease of life and is a great privilege to watch them grow and develop.

I have 3 Grandchildren now and another due in June

Grandparents are what Grandchildren are for. :D
 
I'm delighted, Harry Matthew Thomas Dorsett was born 11am and weighed in the size of a small frigate at 9lb 6oz. Been to the hospital to see them and all is good.

Excellent news, many congratulations to all involved :)

Long time til I may become a grandad but it must be good if it bears being a daddy :)

9lb 6oz...... my eyes have watered for an hour!!



.....but 6,000 posts literally had me crying! At least you had a couple of good posts in there somewhere ;)
