My 1st comp on Sunday gone

At my new golf club,been playing just over a year.Very windy and a noticeable difference in the yellow tees being moved forward up to 25 yards on many holes.Obviously I've had it easy beforehand!
I am off 26 and shot 102 gross net 76 par 72 course SSS 69 on the yellows.Was slightly disaapointed with my score and had some bad holes (two 8's back to back smashed me ).Wouild have been happy to finish around 30th in a field of 55.Was pleasantly surprised to finish 16th!
The tees being much further forward (some of them just behind the whites) really affected my mindset at times in a negative way and put pressure on me.

Still I am happy to finish 16th....must have been a fair few golfers struggled

Well played mate.

Before i played for my first handicap card on sunday i was worried about making mistakes and having bad holes but stood on the first watching a 3 ball before us tee off, only one had a decent tee shot. one was 3 off the tee and the other was 7 off the tee!

Aslong as i don't come last when i finally enter my first comp proper i'll be happy!
