just wodering how many forum users listen to their music during a round. I'm thinking of trying it as a way of blocking out the surroundings and taking away some of the 'swing thoughts' when driving.

I've been thinking of this for a while and have been loitering around the 92-95 mark (forgeting obligatory usual stinker) and have set a target of 90 or below this Sunday at Matfen Hall - 6400 yards.

your comments are appreciated as usual

Another fan of the tour tempo. I'm guessing but would have though music players were illegal in comps. Personally whilst I'm happy usin my I-pod and tour tempo tracks on the range, the whole point of being on the course is to enjoy the scenery, bird songe and surroundings

you can listen to any pre recorded material on the course even if it is about swing or tempo.
Like is said above though, it might not be safe and is disrespectful to playing partners.

I am assuming this rule falls short of a tour guide type recording "to the left you will see a large pond which sits 50 yards short of a left to right sloping green with bunkers back left" :)

To be honest if I got stuck in a medal round with somebody who was listening to music the entire way round i'd be pretty hacked off. I'd consider it somewhat direspectful. Half the enjoyment of a game of golf to me is the 'social' element between shots.

UP1.

I'm not at comp standard and ust though it would be a good way to block out ST's. I get you point about being disrespectful to other in your party.

I was thinking of using it whilst hitting the driver which I suppose is one of those times when all playing partners are in the same place it the same time
