Music on the golf course?

Seen a few with headphones.

Potentially dangerous imo - less likely to here warnings.

Fine for the Range though.

Once tried it to a bit of classical music. The Flight of the Bumblebee came on and I got round 9 holes in 17 minutes!

OK if you are by yourself - and the course is quiet so no danger of you missing a 'FORE!'. When with others - a little bit ignorant I'm afraid - IMO.

hmmm I like the sound of it (no pun intended) but I would feel a little like those chavy kids who walk around town with there music blaring out.

In the back garden when I am practising chipping on a nice day there is always room for music.... and a beer!

Had a rare evening of sunshine last week and the course was strangely quiet. So after hitting a rew on the range, I wandered round the front 9 on my own, in the sun, hitting the ball like a dream while listening to one of my favourite albums. Was a little slice of heaven right there I tells ya!

Not for me as I enjoy getting away from everything and love the peace an quiet of a solo round

Absolutely me also - the most beautiful music to my ears is the sound of nature - though on the music front if I find myself rushing I do sing along to myself the words of the 59th Street Bridge Song - so right for golf and me

Slow down, don't move too fast
You've got to make the morning last
Kickin' down the cobblestones
Lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy
Feelin' groovy

if im playing on my own and there is no one around for a few holes il put the radio on or spotify, loud enough so i can hear it but turn it down if i go near others so as not to interrupt their game.

nice to just relax as i normally play after work.. going to try music on the range with headphones when im next up there jsut to clear my mind

Does anyone listen to music on their phone while playing golf on there own?

Just curious to know and if anyone has what are your experiences?

I did once, won't do it again.
More likely to annoy the living daylights out of everyone around you instead of helping you play (not because they can hear the music but because you won't be able to hear people when they want to either wave you through or shout fore etc...) or in my case, I went to replay a putt that I missed and the group behind me got rather upset - it was a sunday and the course was backed up so they weren't going anywhere...
