When the roughs up it makes the course a beast.
After the dry cold winter everything is running about 6 weeks late here.
Rough could be quite tough or stunted.
I was on Harris a couple of weeks ago and saw daffodils in full bloom in a full sun at 10pm.
Bet that does not happen too often.

The rough is coming up and will be knee deep by july

I play down the road at N.Berwick and the rough there is still tolerable but growing fast so I suspect Muirfield will be hellish by Mid-July especially if we get a damp spell. Open qualifying on our track the first week in July so I'm looking forward to watching the pro's plot their way round some narrow fairways.
Good news that,tour players will actually play a TOUGH golf course!!
