thought it worth reporting my 'other half' has done it at last - got his long awaited first ace on the par 3 9th today - a very tidy shot - no sign of a fluke about it.
He is well pleased (esp after a spell of bad form) - and I am looking to my laurels - need one myself now to maintain my differential of 2 ahead!

Yep - boxing day will be a day to remember from now on. He's only been playing 7 to 8 years but plays 6 days a week right now - so maybe he was due one on the law of averages!
club was surprisingly quiet when we finished so he got away without a big bar bill- he may have to stump up when his cronies get back on Monday!
