Sort of fancy a set of Mizzies....had them a few years ago and played well with them.

Anyway was thinking of HP5s or the 850s.

Any feedback on these?

Also the stock shaft i think are the KBS Taper lites. What do people think of these shafts?

Had the H5's with C Taper lite regulars.. Really liked them, but IIRC they are forged in the high irons, and cast in the low irons.. There was a barely noticeable sound difference.. Also, the C Tapers seemed to play a bit stiffer than standard so I would be careful if buying off the shelf...

Plus 1 for the stiffer than standard, I had the 110 c taper graphite shaft in a H5 4 iron I bought and found it too stiff for me, my irons are steel kbs tours and I love them, spot on.

I have MP4 with C taper and MPH5 4 and 5 irons with C taper lite. C taper is a funny shaft. It feels light but quite dull, but not harsh like PX. I have had this shaft for 3 years and I am still not sure about the feel, but I really like the performance. The ball comes off with a low to medium trajectory and wants to go straight and long. The lites are a bit less dull and launch higher. They are well suited to the longer iron/hybrid if you don't fancy graphite. In terms of flex, I would say they both play true to flex or a shade firmer.

i had the JPX825 pro for a while and they were at least a a club longer than the Mp62 i had when we played together. very easy to hit and forgiving. downside was they flew off the club face so struggled with low bump and runs and little punch shots.

so went to MP4 which have C taper 120 in, higher ball flight than S300 i had before and felt dead to start with, but once i'd got used to them i love them now and would have them in any irons i had in future.

I have MP59s and struggled with the 4 and 5 irons but added a an HP5 4 and 5 with Project X 5.5 shafts which are great. Think the future will be for mongrel sets of Hybrias + Driving + Short + wedges all being potentially different brands / characteristics. From observations whilst marshalling most of the pros have mongrel sets (some cunningly disguised to hide the brand).
