So the move from Leeds to Lincolnshire is now complete. Moving is a pain but managed the whole shebang for £200 (£140 van hire and £60 fuel) which was a whole £1100 cheaper than a removal company.

Golf club membership sorted already as application made a few weeks ago. First round for handicap will be tomorrow. Finally I will have an official handicap in a few weeks!

Am looking forward to a new life in the fens.

Unofficial handicap using golf shake to calculate. Proper Congu handicap for the first time in 7 years which will be nice to have so that i can enter Opens.

Joined Spalding Bob. On,y 2 miles down the road which is handy. Drop me a line if you want a knock.

Finally exchanged on our current house yesterday and the new one is moving on and the roof is starting to go on in the next few weeks. Once they get that done, hopefully they can start doing the indoors and get the kitchens and bathrooms sorted. We've got a Dec 20th completion date but chances are that may move forward a bit. Wife already going through the expensive furniture catalogues (John Lewis, Next etc) so bracing myself for the bill

Now you are in sight of a proper handicap, you will have to think a bit more about course management.

Thats fantastic homer, not even a reference to the OP, back to the topic though. £1100, Ron that is a lot of cash saved, Id dare say it makes your new membership that little easier to swallow! Ive never used removals as they are so expensive, Ive seen others use them and the amount of leg work you have to do anyway pretty much leaves them an easy job of lifting, loading and unloading, you still have to do all the packing and unpacking.

Bet you're glad you're done. We moved house 13 years ago and I swore it would be the last time ever.
Never been so stressed!
Enjoy the new place and the new club.

Congratulations on the move and welcome to the county. You will have to pencil me in for a round at Spalding sometime

All about the post count though eh?

Moving house ranks as my number 1 most hated thing to do. Bet your glad it is finished though and hopefully some golf in before the weather takes its usual turn for the worse. :(

Well done on the move and managing it without a murder in the household.
When we moved in here it was a nightmare as we had to move HIDs stuff in first then see if there was any wardrobe, cupboard, shed space left for my bits. Some things never made it out of the shed before being discarded.
