Motor bikes on the course

We played in a nine hole social this evening and it didn't start well as the greens hadn't been cut again due to machinery breakdown. We got to the 5th and there were some light tyre marks on the green but no real damage, It looked as though a push bike had been ridden over the green

We then crossed over the road to play the 6th and 7th. The 7th green overlooks the road and back towards the 5th. As we were putting out on 7 two scramble bikes turned off the road and went up onto the 5th, driving right over the green. My mate let out a few expletives and the two of us went back over. One lad drove straight past, just glaring at us and there was no number plate on his bike.

We managed to stop the second lad but what do you do next? After a bit of an opening blast and his reply that he didn't know he was doing anything wrong (yeh right), we let him go after taking his number. As he drove back up the road the third member of our group, a guy in his seventies came out waving his driver at him. This caused him to stall his bike (lol) so we went and had another word but tried to be diplomatic as they could easily cause havoc late at night.

A well aimed flag stick through the spokes of either wheel would have got their attention.

i remember playing at ECCLESTON PARK when a stolen car drove up the first turned left did a doughnut on the fairway then drove across the course to an old exit gate that they tried to ram,having no joy they jumped the fence and legged it,more damage was done by the 3 police vehicles following them !!!!!

We had our eighteenth green and third fairway churned up two years ago by someone on a motorbike. Happened on a Friday night just ready for the Saturday comp.

One of the funniest things ive seen was at Tain involving a guy on a Quad bike. he had been seen a few times on the 11th driving up the raised tee. we were standing on the 10th when this guy comes screaming along the path up the side, doing about 30MPH, hit a stump and bounced off the thing, went 15 feet in the air and landed in some brambles and the bike hit a tree.

Very funny. that taught him

When you say "members of the caravan club" do you mean members of the proper Caravan Club or do you mean those traveller people?
