Bought an S1 last year in preference to Powercaddy (p/c) Freeway although the Powercaddy Classic was a very close contender.

The S1 seemed much stronger due to the large section oval tubing as against the p/c round section particularly in the "yoke" area. Other benefits include most, if not all, parts user changeable and cheaper. e.g. when the clutch fails on one or both p/c wheels (as they will) I believe that replacements can only be obtained through p/c authorised dealers who will probably insist on fitting them as it is not a straightforward operation. Could be anywhere between £30 - 45 per clutch. Motocaddy - on to the interweave web thingy, order a new wheel which includes the clutch - about £20 + p&p. 30 sec job to replace.

To be absolutely honest I have had 2 problems. The first was that after a couple of months the battery started to run out of ooomph after about 16 holes. One phone call and a new battery arrived within a couple of days. The other was when a fitting broke due to unusual circumstances (the best guess could take the prize of the month ;) ;)). The trolley was returnd via the retailer, the problem sorted and trolly returned. Motocaddy acknowledged that other users had identified this weak fitting and it was subsequently re-designed.

It would have been better to have not had these problems - judging by others I know with the same trolley I was unlucky, but the way in which Motocaddy dealt with them was spot on. imo a company should be judged on their response to a problem, not the problem itself

Usual disclaimers apply but if Motocaddy read this, an upgrade to S3 wouldn't go amiss....... :D :D
