I'd decided to get a Motocaddy S3 (I'm sucker for potentially useless gimmicks and toys), but my club has a rule that anything with a distance measuring device, even if not used, can't be used in comps so thats out.

I know the gokart gets great reports, has anyone compared it to the Motocaddy S1 side by side ? Just wondcering if the S1 is a better long term buy due to the alu frame v plastic.

I've already transferred my clubs to the cart bag, so this is an urgent question as I couldn't possibly put them back in my 5 year old carry bag :D

In my opinion what sets the 2 appart is the customer service. Gokart offer service that is second to none in any industry. Prompt and polite replies to everything, a great service and warranty scheme and nothing is ever too much trouble. Having not used a Motocaddy I cannot really comment on their long term reliability etc but I do know which company I would rather go to if something did go wrong and that is GoKart

I've heard lots of good things about the service at Gokart, but does this mean lots of things fo wrong ? Surely you only contact them when something breaks ?

they are golf mad, they play as much as we do, send them an e-mail telling them how you got on in your competition and they would reply just the same as we guys do here. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

I have had my GoKart for a year now. Nothing breaks.

I contacted them when my GoKart broke. Handle snapped half way up but it was my own stupid fault.
I wasn't expecting much help from them...as they say "accidents happen".
They were very sympathetic, sent a van out to collect my broken trolley with a replacement for me to use whilst mine was being fixed, and then returned mine to me as good as new. Cost? Bugger all. Not even postage.
I'm a fan for life.
And other than this episode, my trolley has never, ever let me down.

They contacted me when they had upgraded the motor and another couple of bits and asked if I wanted to send mine in for a free upgrade. When it came back it was a little noisey so they sent me a brand new one. Other dealing was when I asked about the cost of a new battery as mine was not holding a full charge. They said that it should last longer so sent me a new battery in my choice of colour free of charge.

i'm looking for an electric trolley, not fussed about gps or distance measuring.

the issue i have is a relatively small boot (vauxhall corsa). i currently like to leave my carry bag in there so i can pop down after work whenever i fancy. does anyone know which is the most compact when folded? thanks.

Again, Gokart folds up pretty small. If you look on their web site I think you can get a paper outline of the trolley to see if it fits in your boot

my trolley is a chinese copy of a motocaddy S1, uses most of the same electronics on a slightly different frame. fortunately I have an Avensis, massive boot - enough said?

I only have a small Fiesta and the go-kart fits in there no problem at all. There after-sales service is arguably the best in golfing retail and it seems that being an avid golfer is a part of the job description

Taken from the website

Folded Size: 26x59x61 (HxWxL)

There are pictures of it folded on the photo gallery below

I've currently got the loan of an S1 and it surprised me how much room it actually takes up in the boot - they don't fold down small at all!

Having seen a GoKart in a friends boot all neatly tucked away that'd swing it for me as they both appear to do exactly the same job.
