I brought a motocaddy with a new 18 hole battery from american golf in April this year and have used it no more than once a week but today on the 14 th hole it died after being fully charged through the night. Usually it just about makes 18 on a flat land course.

Where do I stand with motocaddy with this problem, anyone know?

if its less than 12 months old which it seems to be then its not fit for purpose within their warranty and they should replace it (good luck dealing with them tho)

American Golf should simply exchange it for you, or at least lend you one while they send it back to Motocaddy.

You will need to get it back to AG and they will return it back to Motocaddy. Immediate replacement or lending you one is at their discretion. You will probably need to send the charger off also.

Alternatively you could look up local service engineers on their website (providing you sent off the warranty). They can deal with it a lot quicker as they would hopefully be local.

What charger are you using and how often/for how long do you charge it?

Iv had a nightmare with my motocaddy battery, mine dies aswell after 8 months, had to send the trolley and battery back to motocaddy, they then replaced the battery saying the cells had died. They tried to blame me for leaving it on a charger all the time after only playing once a week, they say it should be fully charged straight after use, then taken off the charger ready to go whenever.
Replacement battery dies after a further 6 months of me charging it like they said. They refused point blank to do anything with it as it was outside its years guarantee despite the battery only being 6 months old.
I had to buy a new one.
