What is the most stableford points you have ever had in a round of golf , Competitions only please . ............................................

For me it was at Canford Magna in 1997 , I had only been playing a month and I had 50 points on the Parkland Course there , Gross 85 on what was a Par 73 course at the time with the 1st and 9th being par 5s at the time , they were the 10th and 18th in those days and these days its a par 71 . I was playing of a handicap of 26 and was cut to 22 .............what was your best ....................................EYG

first and only win.my old course back in derry. 9 pars, 9 bogies for 46 points. I went up to 19 the day before after a shocker around castlerock.

I beat a 2 handicap by a point after he shot 7 under :o

42 on captains day last year and ended up winning it. On me first ever proper comp, first ad played at weekend first time ad played with a woman and first time ad ever played with me brother.

Felt a a right tool having to make a thankyou speech.

42 for me too. Comp at Camberley Heath. During my rocketing down period. Could have been more as I had just been cut 2 shots as well.

I am now 'related' to the organiser - by divorce!

I have shot 1 under gross off 9 handicap, so 46 points, but that was a Medal comp.

Hit a 44 a couple of years ago and still only came 3rd!

Winner had 46. I was tied 2nd but got beaten on a count back. Probably the best round I've ever played.

Is that really true?

The perceived advantage of stableford only kicks in for scores of net triple bogey or worse.

How often does someone win a comp with a net triple bogey or worse on their card?

not advocating it as a truth, just my opinion. ;)

When 'people' say to me they had 37 points and 2 blobs then all strokes didnt count imo.

It might just be me that thinks a round of golf is the number of strokes you take (all strokes) over 18 holes

A blob doesnt always mean they didnt finish a given hole, juts that they didnt score any points.

My mate off of +1 shot 4 under round our place on Saturday in a roll up stableford. He "blobbed" the SI 18 hole with a bogey 5.

What a hacker!!!

43 off of 12 the first year I joined RAGC was the best. I had a couple of 41s last year off of 10 and 9 respectively. I don't think I'll be shooting 40 points too often in the future!
