What's the most golf played over a short period ?

On a recent trip I played 8 out of 9 days which included two 27 holes one of which was a senior open played in 32 deg. Must say it was good to play some parkland golf, getting a tad fed up with links golf now , as links normally means playing in wind.

This year I have played 14 rounds in 12 days once and have it again in two weeks - regualry play 7 rounds in 6 days

11 consecutive days. Saturday and Sunday comps, midweek inter club league match, some knockouts and a society outing. And then into the next weekend's golf followed by another knockout and a league match.

By the time I was done I hated golf, and didn't play for nearly a month. I'd hate to do it for a living.

Thats a lot of golf especially competitive golf, with a day or two rest I would be happy to play another 8 days.

when i was younger i had a 5 day break at Abbotsley Golf Hotel with my dad. On the first and last days we played 18 holes but on the other 3 we played from first light (stopping for breakfast and lunch) until it got dark and got at least 45 holes a day in.

One was an 18 holes knockout that went 46 holes. Played 22 holes, still all square and too dark. Went out the next night but was thunder and lightening'd off after 6 holes. Played 18 the following night, and won the 18th to win 1up.

As a teenager I used to play the full 42 days of the summer holidays averaging about 27 holes per day. I didn't weigh much come the beginning of September.

I played 4 rounds in 4 days as of completing a 36 hole yesterday and recently did 10 in 14 days - struggling a little today!

When I went to Islantilla with amp golf school for a week last March we normally did 2 hours of group lessons in the morning, followed by range practice for those who wanted and a round of golf, either 9 or 18 holes, in the afternoon (if you did only 9 holes, you could get more lessons in the afternoon as well). It was pretty intense, I played 9 holes on the first two days and then 18 holes every day for the rest of the week, so six days in a row, but always coupled with the lessons and practice in the morning. Felt a bit like a golf boot camp. Great fun, though. I will travel with the same group again next year (Costa Ballena this time, I think)
