More bloody PC problems!!

Don't know if anybody can point me in the right direction....
Installed a new wireless printer a couple of weeks ago, everything has been working fine up until this morning.
Went to print out an email and getting an error message come up saying "an unknown error occured while printing".
Now I cannot print anything "online" whilst I'm on Firefox. I can print off documents etc. saved to my hardrive, but no online content at all.
If I switch over to Google Chrome, it's ok, prints perfectly. But Firefox is a "no no".
Stupid thing is, I can print stuff from the wifes lappy when she is on Firefox through the same printer. So it's not the printer that's at fault, it's a setting in Firefox somewhere.
I've tried un-installing Firefox but it's having none of it.
Any pointers???

As a
first
step,
reset
the
selected
printer
in
your
Firefox
preferences:
1. Type
about:config
in
the
Location
Bar
and
press
Enter.
A
list
of
preferences
will
appear.
2. Find
the
preference
print.print_printer
(Note:
this
preference
is
missing
in
Firefox
profiles
where
you've
never
used
the
printer.)
3. Right-
click
(context-
click)
that
preference
and
select
Reset.
(Some
users
may
need
to
reset
all
the
print.printer
preferences
for
a
particular
printer,
if
resetting
this
one
master
preference
doesn't
solve
the
problem.)
4. Restart
Firefox
and
see
if
the
problem
is
resolved.
Note:
If
you
get
the
warning
dialog,
"Printing
failed
when
starting
the
document"
and
if the
print.print_printer
preference
has
no
printer
shown,
either
you
don't
have
a
printer
selected,
or
Firefox
doesn't
know
it is
installed
on
your
system.

Andy, that's bloody brilliant!!
It had somehow reverted to my old printer (Epson R306). Now working again. Thanks so much for that, and I did wonder about the formatting!!
