I have booked and paid online for a 09:04 tee time at Moors Valley in East Dorset for Saturday 2nd April. My regular golfing partner contacted me last night to say that his wife had been taken ill and was in hospital and didn't think he would be able to make it.

Is there a forum member who would be interested in joining me on Saturday morning? The cost is £25. And the weather forecast is looking good!

Hi Mike. Would love to, but I'm suppossed to be at East Horton.

Are you local to West Moors area then?

So silly you keep popping to a course 4 miles from my flat and I have not had a round with you yet!

I know. But I have a bit of a good deal still going at East Horton, but only when I'm playing with a friend of mine, though others can join in as normal. He's got a corporate membership thing!

I'd be there like a shot under normal circumstances..... but I can't this w/end.

It sounds like we need to organise a Dorset/Hampshire meet up !

That sounds like a good idea and I would support it. Most of the events are too far away, I would like to play in one of the centenary events but the nearest is 2.5 hrs away.

Would have loved to but only just read the tread and i am taking my daughter to crane valley 9 hole course this afternoon as any of the 18 hole courses would be to big for her.

We will have to meet up for a game soon. I can do most Friday afternoons and weekends.

It would be good to do a local meet. I think Dudsbury would be a good location as they do twilight golf for £18 down from a normal £50 green fee and it is a championship course.

So how do we go about arranging a meet for local forum members? Dudsbury is a good idea. My brother-in-law is a member so maybe I can set something up.

Just book it and we will come !! Friday afternoons & Sunday afternoons are good for me. I used to be a member of Dudsbury a few years ago, It's a good summer course.

Living near Reading I'd be up for a South Central meet somewhere in Hants. There seem to be lots of courses in the Basingstoke/Winchester/Southampton area. Played a few of the courses round Basingstoke and also played Brokenhurst Manor a couple of times and absolutely loved it.

I'd be OK weekends or weekdays with a bit of notice.

Errr wrong way round!!
Find out who wants to play and when, and then book it.
Less frustration that way
;)

I bow down to your knowledge and experience in all things especially organising golf stuff.. ;)
