For those that played in the recent jolly boys outing meet to York, Moor Allerton is on the telly 8-10 tonight in a PGA Euro tour event, and I presume for the next few nights.

Remember the par 3 with the severely sloping green (our 13th hole, the 4th on the second nine)? With the way they cut the greens for the pros, I can imagine it is even to read.

Not bad for £30 on a Saturday was it? I wonder if any of them go driver, 9 iron as NWJocko did on the 5th (par 5).

Just tuned in mate. Looking good isn't it. The Missus is kicking off though as Ive turned off the great British bake off.

Those greens are looking very slippery!!

Good to see your the boss of the telly in your house Dave

Just watching it now to see how it would look on the telly and it's definitely showing it's self off in good colours. I went down the first day and there were a fair few struggling with the 9th (your 18th) and there was a fair few rolling off the front.

Looks great Josh, your lucky to be a member there !! Did you play after the event? Were the greens quicker than when we played ??

I could give them some tips for that back 9. I made it look easy... I mean, how difficult is the 18th? 3 wood off the tee, 8 iron to 10 feet, roll up the first putt to 6 inches, then knock it in.... Simple really....;)

I was away the weekend straight after the tournament so didn't get to play on them directly after but I don't think they would of been much quicker than when we played on them. They can't make them much quicker as some of the slopes are very severe. Mainly the par 3 4th (13th)

Just flicked over and there's a guy looking at chipping in on the 18th. I just said to the Mrs watch this, this will go from top to bottom on this green like I did - guy hits it to 4 foot!!!! :o

Mrs looks at me in disgust hahahah

She spot you chasing your horse down the 1st fairway in the background though mate!!? :whoo:

Yep, always a tough one that, Josh.

I'd rather be putt from 8 foot below that hole, than 2 foot above it. Scary putting down that hill. Across the hill is even worse again.

I played in that event and the course was very impressive and it would of been great to have played it in the summer. The greens were just a little bit to soft. They had to slow the greens down as you couldn't keep balls on the green on number 9 when we were playing the practice round.

We had a day there a few days before. I agree the course is superb and the greens were silly quick for us mere mortals. If you were above the hole it was game over. !!!!
