Hi guys. I'm off to Mexico this year and staying at moon palace. Anyone played there? I read its expensive to hire their clubs and buys balls. I don't want to drag mine all the way over there 😮 Cheers👍🏻

Not stayed there but dropped off and picked up there. Course looked nice, the resort is huge. Watch out for alligators saw several basking in the sun

Yup re the gators, saw one on the iberostar cancun golf course and it must of been 16ft. Missis T pulled up in a buggy about 8ft from one. I went mental. Them and the massive lizards 2ft plus.

On our 1st day in Mexico I was half asleep on the sun lounger, opened my eyes & this massive lizard was about 5ft from my head.
Shat my pants 😂

The lizard was just casually chewing on a flower.

I went there in 2013. Course was very good and in great shape. Half way houses do wicked margaritas so be careful. Complex is huge...all restaurants were good too. Great place.

I took my clubs as it's no different taking them to Spain...I drove to the airport a got on the plane! How long they are on the plane makes no difference! Depends how many rounds you want to play. Email them for info re rental clubs...they are very helpful.

Great place... saw lots of gators on the course. Don't bother fishing out the Topflite at the waters edge though! You could lose your foot

My wife and I are booked into the moon palace in December I take it you are flying with Thomson's I take my clubs with me it's only £25 to hire it's about 40 to 50 dollars for me it's a no brainier.

Brings back memories, we went there for our honeymoon way back in 1997 when it was fairly newly opened. Was a lovely hotel, the food was good and also included branded spirits not the local firewater you often get on all inclusive. Not sure if there even was a golf course back then but I didn't play if there was. Do remember it was extremely hot though at the peak time of day and that they had a little nightclub and used to go round feeding you with tequila slammers.

Any other suggestions for a Mexico holiday, Playa del Carman or Riviera Maya.

Was thinking of Florida but just seen the news about the exchange rates !

Went last year to Secrets Silver Sands. Truely incredible place but not cheap. Good, drink, service all superb.

Playa Del Carmen Riu Palace Mexico best hotel in playa car stayed there in December our 3rd time best thing is that you can use 4 other Riu hotels 3 are located on the beach and only a short walk away plus the golf course is just across the road.

Missis T took a photo of me on one of the tees, about six foot behind me there were about a dozen of them all lined up. They were either.
A, checking out my latest swing.
B, admiring my butt
C, laughing at me.

Talking of gators check out the video clip of hunchback the gator on the BBC website. He is a beast.
