Monty for RC Captain 2014?

Went to a Monty clinic at Silvermere before the RC and he was asked if he'd do it again and he was adamant that once was enough and it had taken more out of him than he imagined. He did say he wanted to play on one more team (not a chance I'm afraid) but I don't think he'll do it again

If you are to listen to Monty he thinks he'll be playing at the 2014 RC!

With the current policy being one and out I think we're looking at Paul McGinley as Captain at Gleneagles.

If Monty was asked to do it though I don't think he'd say no.

Despite the result, I don't think he was that good a captain and it was a complete joke that he got Coach of the Year at the BBC SPOTY awards.

I agree with McGinley but wouldn't bet against Monty being a senior Vice Captain (If there is such a thing)

He'll certainly be doing extremely well to be playing in the 2014 RC (wonder what odds you'd get on that one)
As much as i don't personally have a huge amount of affection for him he has proven himself as a playing and non playing member of the RC team so certainly wouldn't have a problem with him being Captain again and as this might be his only option of being involved and the event being held in Scotland it might be a very tempting proposition.

Still think its a disgrace that Sandy Lyle has never been offered the Captains role.
