Poll time again everybody, and with the year's first Major now only a month away, I thought we'd go for a couple of Major-related polls, the first one looking at European Major winners this century, and the second (in a separate post) asking who might be the next British player to taste Major glory.

Thanks for your votes and supporting comments!

Rare you see me vote for McIlroy (although he is growing on me) and his US Open win cost me many a penny but to come back and win as he did after what happened at Augusta makes his the standout for me

Tough one as I loved Clarkeys win too as he did defy the odds, maybe just not as spectacularly as Rory given his performance on day 4 at Augusta. With Darren, he kept it going and partly had the weather to thank as he is a great elements player, not many of them about.

As good as Rory's US Open win was after what happened to him at Augusta, I think Darren Clarke's Open victory was the most impressive given his personal circumstances, his form leading up to the Open, and the elements he battled through on that last day. For me it was a perfect demonstration of the precision required by links golf to play a variery of shots with every club in the bag.

Went for Rory, god only knows how he must have been feeling, knowing he had previously been sooooo close just to see it evaporate in front of him . shows a great mental strenght that will help him win many more IMO ..

Got to be Rory, his recovery from what went on at the Masters was nothing short of sublime, sure it is one of many for him.

I went for McDowell for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I was over there at the time and had to suffer Johnny Miller's constant pro-any-US-player comments on McDowell 'he's crumbling now', 'he'll blow it on the next nine', 'he's lucky there' blah, blah blah.... and secondly, I was the only among a pool of 70 to have McDowell as a wildcard, as no one had Havret either, I lapped the field and collected $400!!

Watched Rory's 2nd round in full and have to say it 's the best 18 holes I've ever seen - astonishing.
Would've broke 60 if he could putt.
However, went for Harrington at 2008 Open (add to that the PGA).
Thought he pulled off tremendous shots to win while under pressure.
What's happened to him ?

Padraig in 2008, winds upto 50mph, injured wrist, defending champ and the best shot ever on the 17th.

All of the choices had their merits, but felt Padraig was the most impressive.

McIroy for me, not only did he take the field apart but he did it after a major collapse at the Masters #takesguts

Got to go for Rory. After the Masters nightmare I thought he would suffer for a while but what a way to answer your critics. It will be very interesting to see how he fairs at the Masters this year.

Rory for me. Thought the Masters may destroy him - certainly for the next few majors and when next in contention but he nailed it. He's growing on me
