Hi all,

It's monthly poll time again. This time, we want to know how many different clubs you've been a member of since you started playing golf.

Looking forward to your responses,

Nick

Not the most conclusive of polls. I have been a member of four clubs in over 40 years of playing golf. I'm sure there will be folk who have been members of more clubs in a shorter period of time.

5 in total in 20 years. Member at 2 clubs. 1 year and 19 years continuous membersip at a 9 hole course and flirted with a few other courses over the years.

I've been a member of 7 clubs since I started back in 2006.
Though I have been a member of 3 clubs at the same time.
And now a member at 2 .

Redbourne
Lochness
Tain
Torvean
Carr bridge
Nairn
Moray

Four in ten years and then my current club for 32 years.

Oundle
Clevedon
Sutton Coldfield
Ullesthorpe
Kirby Muxloe

1956 -Kinross – 9 hole course before the Green Hotel took over
1967 (after 8 golfless years) – Temple
1969 – East Dereham
1970 – Henley
1977 – Newark
1980 – Luffenham Heath
1996 (after 11 golfless years) – Staythorpe (long gone now)
1998 to present – current home

Just two - one when I first started golfing and then after a long break my current one.
Next move might be forced through by HS2.

I've been a member of four clubs

Orton Meadows in Peterborough when i first started playing in the late 1980s - pay an play course with club attached - I'd love to go back to play one day.

Alford in Aberdeenshire - nice little course, great really friendly club.

Arbroath, when I moved home to Dundee area in 2005 they had a husband and wife membership that was a no brainer - think it cost about £250 for both of us - nice course, friendly people but I hated having to drive for upwards of half an hour to get there so didn't play anything like as much as I should have.

Grange Golf Club at Monifieth - bought my current house largely because of how close it was to the course (drive and a wedge from first tee) - we viewed the house and I told the missus "We're going to look at the golf club" - we were proposed and seconded for membership before we put the bid in later that day. Open qualifying course with a shorter James Braid designed second course, love it.
