After players have signed in and teed off in a monthly medal competition, under what circumstances may the comp. be cancelled? If there are circumstances, who is allowed to make the decision? Thanks
At my old club I remember comps called off for fog, lightning, severe hail, high winds, all mid round. The klaxon would sound, usually set off by the comp secretary and that was that. I believe before my time that a comp was once called off because one of the members had a heart attack and died on a tee box. An ambulance was required, obviously, and the comp was cancelled.
