Hello to ALL, Have you seen any golf courses offering a Flat Monthly Fee for all the golf you can play with cart?
Private or Public!
And, if they were to offer such a thing, would you be the golfer who pays to play? Example: You pay $150 for the month of September to a public course and play golf everyday if you wish. Are you in or out? And, how many rounds do you see yourself actually playing? I am not a golf course! I am just like you...a golfer! Love the game and the outdoors!

Pretty much all of our memberships in the UK are 'play all you want' ones, yes they are annual but I pay mine monthly.

If courses offered monthly options, the risk would be having very little income in the winter months

It's a UK forum, the norm is to walk in the UK. Not sure if the cart bit was eventual to your question.

I love walking round the course, but over here most courses have a long walk between tees, sometimes if I tee'd up my driver up I still couldn't hit it from the green to the next tee. I play at an older US course and it is more compact than a lot I have played here, but you still have some long walks to the next tee.

As has been mentioned already most courses in the UK have annual memberships, most have pay monthly options.

Here in the UK if courses offered just monthly options they would find them selves only getting money for 6/8 months of the year.

In Scotland courses are very good value for money and i pay a fraction of what a similar course would be in the S/E

Bit robotist and not very inclusive, what if R2-D2 or C-3PO has an interesting point to make about where to stand when Chewbacca is teeing off?

Played the Monty Course at Celtic Manor on Monday.... a few daft gaps between greens and tees there.. some as a result of rerouting the former Wentwood Hills layout. Buggy great for those, but they don't allow you to drive on fairways (not even a 90 degree rule) so you have some big walks across to your ball. Ok for an outing, wouldn't want to play there every week!

So I do get the argument in favour of buggies on some courses... but much better to walk. ....."Always stop to smell the flowers" as someone once said!

I don't care where they stand as long as they call me through if they have to search for a ball :D
