How about a smart phone version of the forums?, much like WRX and the other GM.
it is on the to do-list (IPC have the capacity as we do it on soem of our bigger/digital only brands) but I have to admit not right up the top of it. Next year would be my guess

Thanks for that response Mike, ever considered using tapatalk? A US golf forum (the hackers paradise) use this. Great for smartphones and tablets.

A dedicated app is a must for forums nowadays, so it's a shame it's not higher up the priority list. I imagine if you ran a report of where most people view / post from you would see a high percentage are from mobile devices.
Luckily this forum works well on the iPad without a dedicated app, so it's workable for now at least

Would also love to see some of the online content on Flipboard as with some other magazines. I tend to use that daily and it is a great app.

mobile accounts for about 20% of our traffic
tapatalk is indeed good but I'm told by tech we cant measure traffic properly on it and as the only way of us monetising the site is via advertising we need to be able to report solid traffic figures to our partners/clients

That isnt so bad Mike, Xenforo's latest offerings are fantastic, they offer the reactive version where the entire page is live and adjusts shape and position/menus depending on the size of the window/screen of the device. Only downside I can see with it is that you cant flit between desktop mode and android browser mobile mode.

Fair point, tapatalk is forum only I suppose which would probably take people away from the main GM site.
