Had a day at Bearwood Lakes courtesy of Mizuno yesterday. The tour bus was there and we were able to hit all the new JPX woods at the range.

Nice goody bag on arrival with a long sleeve Mizuno polo shirt, a Mizuno thermalite top and cap. 2 course lunch on arrival, free bar all day, 18 holes at Bearwood...great prizes, (Mizuno putter, 2 JPX drivers, and a full set of fitted irons!!). Unfortunately, I didn't win any of them :(

The Mizuno team couldn't have been more accomodating. What a nice bunch of guys. Played with Tim, who works for the European Marketing division and I have to say, his job is more of a hobby, the jammy git!!

Very impressed with the tour workshop bus. One of the guys asked if they had anything to make his driver grip a bit more tacky; the guy just stuck a new grip on there and then.

Price for this amazing day and all the goodies..........just £30....incredible gesture from Mizuno.

Just makes you realise how lucky we are to have these great golfing organisations like Mizuno and Golf Monthly, etc taking a genuine interest and concern in their followers and giving us such great prizes and deals.

Here's some piccies of the bus and the course....check out the cool number plate :D

No mate....my Mizunos MP62's are in the bag at the moment. Not quite the conditions yet for the Nikes!!! :o

Ah...that old chestnut! :D ;)

I'm so jealous. Seriously, £30 for all that? I could cry.

Can I have your thermalite top and your hat please? I reckon the thermalite looks a bit big on you and you wouldn't want to hide that fabulous mane under a hat! :D

Wow I am green with envy, jealous as all hell… I love Bearwood and am a total Mizuno fan boy, I want to be happy for you but… You git :D

Thanks for the photos mate

Rick - apologies if I missed it but how did you get the opportunity, was it through the Mizuno forum?

Looked like a cracking day

Sorry for the delayed replies......HID nicked the laptop!!

Aztec, my Nikes are blades, not combo's.
The top was a bit big, but fits perfectly now after the free bar & lunch via Mizuno yesterday and the splendid fare courtesy of GM at Hanbury today. The top is seriously effective though in the wind and I can highly recommend it if you are thinking of getting one...

Alex, I'm feeling the love man!!!

Snaphook, correct, it was through the Mizuno forum.

Another Mizzy fan gutted at missing out. I only live 10 mins away from Bearwod Lakes and I often get my car and bike stuff from the Halfords next door to the Mizzy offices in Winnersh and have seen that beautiful Mizzy truck parked out the back.

I do occasionally go on the Mizuno Forum and will probably join up. There are some hard core Mizzy fans on there and the Mizzy guys are great at giving technical help and info.

Anyway glad you had a great day and well done to the Mizuno and Bearwood Lakes guys for treating you so well.

Hopefully they'll be doing it again next year.

Looks like you had a fantastic day Rick. Bearwood Lakes looks like it's shaping up nicely for another good season. Must get up there soon and have a game with Paul.
Glad to see you had a great time.

sounds great Rick - even the lake looks like it is filling up at the back of 5 and in front of 11! How were the greens because they were a bit slow on Saturday? Did you see the markings for bunker changes and several new bunkers going in? We should know the final course-plan changes this week - the lake on 8/9 is going to be about 3 or 4 times as big and a lake to the right of 10 - looking forward to reading about them. We have a Masters comp on Sunday - best 3 of 4, which is usually great fun - shotgun start and then into the bar to watch the golf - I am hoping the grens wull be ironed and nearer 12 than 10!

congratulations on such a fatastic day, allways been a big
mizzy fan and drool over your exploits,Bearwood lakes looks
a great place to be,glad you had a great day..
