My local golf shop has one coming up soon. Can anyone advise what they are like. I can't find any specific details on their site. Is it any resemblance to what their national centre does?

I went along recently to one at American Golf. It was a Mizuno employee who was running the show.

I was given the DNA swing test first to get some vital statistics.

We then tried some different head and shaft combinations, to work out which gave me the best combination of launch angle, ball speed, spin rates etc. the final club selection was checked for grip size as well. I was then emailed a copy of the fitting spec if I wanted to order them.

I enjoyed it but felt it was a little rushed and would have liked a bit more time to hit some shots with the final selection of parts. I have asked at AG and they have the Mizuno cart and will give me the club to try on the range wheni want. I believe it was the same as the fitting centre, as they he DNA, swing cart and trackman.

I would think it would be very similar.

I had a mizuno fitting at my club, had the DNA first then tried some of the shafts recommended and different models. Worth having, will have another when I decide on my mp59s.

That DNA swing thing is so wrong.

All it measures is swing speed. Doesn't take into account attack angle, launch. ball speed etc etc. Loada pish.

in my opinion, its worth a try...i got custom fitted by mizuno at world of golf glasgow..fitter was nice guy no pressure to buy..i went in with the irons mp53 in mind but couldnt hit them great, ended up with jpx800 pro...lovely irons...at end of day we re handicap golfers and not sure custom fit does much for us...
